Windies on back foot as rain rules
Rain wrecked much of the second day of the second Test between the West Indies and India in Barbados. Ishant Sharma took two wickets in an over to put the West Indies on the back foot, but with Marlon Samuels and the crab-like Shiv Chanderpaul still there, they will be hoping to get withing touching distance of India’s modest 201.
In Harare, remarkably, an ODI series is taking place in midwinter, and Australia A drubbed a Zimbabwe XI. Australia A tackle South Africa A today.
Elsewhere, Alviro Petersen underscored his growing stature as a fighting captain with 93 against Derbyshire.
