Bresnan takes England to No 1 in world cricket

There can no longer be any doubt that England are the world’s leading team, after they demolished India, currently the top dogs, by the overwhelming margin of 319 runs.

Tim Bresnan, with 90 and five wickets, might have felt aggreived to lose out on the man-of-the match award to Stuart Broad, whose hat-trick and innings-turning 64 in the first innings swung the match.
