Matshikwe great black hope
Phumelela Matshikwe has emerged as the new black fast bowling hope for South African cricket. Against an impeccable Titans team, he ended with 9/192, a return so far ahead of anyone else in the country that he has to be given far closer scrutiny in terms of national selection.
In Harare, the Black Caps hardly raised a sweat in thrashing the home team by 10 wickets, with Brendon McCullum particularly brutal. He hit six sixes and five fours as the Kiwis cruised to victory with 39 balls to spare.
Careless batting by Bangladesh cost them the second ODI against West Indies, for whom Lendl Simmons and Marlon Samuels made light work of a 221-run target.
And in South Africa, the defending champion team Cobras cruised to an eight-wicket win over the Warriors in East London.
