Du Preez sees Knights home in thriller

Dillon du Preez, better known as an effective new-ball bowler, turned devastating for low-order batsman to edge the Knights home in a last-ball, one-wicket thriller over the Lions. Du Preez first ripped the heart out of the Lions with 5/47 off his nine overs, then coming in at No 10 he smashed five sixes and two fours off just 26 balls to compile a match-winning 52 not out.

Earlier, the Lions had seemed home and dry as Craig Alexander took the Knights middle order apart.

Elsewhere, the Cape Cobras at home were way too strong for an under-cooked Dolphins outfit, and the Warriors easily saw the Titans off, despite a thunderous 82 by David Wiese (six sixes, five fours).
