Documentary captures Stevenson’s life

Photographer Andrej Palacko has compiled a historical documentary about legendary boxer Teofilo Stevenson, who won three Olympic gold medals in 1972, 1976 and 1980.

Stevenson was renowned for his devastating right-hand jab and gentlemanly demeanour, and his highly publicised bout that did not take place against former world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali.

Palacko recently returned from Cuba where he made the documentary of Stevenson’s life. It was taken largely during his wife’s birthday, on June 3, 2012 a week before Stevenson’s death.
